I stayed for a month while starting a new job in Manhattan and enjoyed my time here. The suite is spacious, well maintained and has all the utensils and kitchenware needed for cooking. It is a short walk to the subway station and bus stops which makes the rest of the city accessible. It’s also generally pretty quiet for New York which is nice to unwind after busy days. I got along well with the other residents of the building and they offered suggestions for lots of the great small businesses in the area. All in all it’s a great intro to New York. Thanks John!

This was our second stay at John’s property, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. It’s a beautiful brownstone, on a lovely block. A very short walk to the subway, a short ride to Manhattan. An even closer walk to a 24 hr shop, Taco Bell, KFC & the best $1 slice of pizza you’ll find in NYC. (Quick, cheap eats when traveling with kids) The neighborhood felt safe, never had any concerns walking with my teenagers late at night. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Kitchen was more than sufficient. The price was very competitive and fair. John is a super nice guy & very accommodating. We will definitely be back for a third stay!

Overall everything was nice and clean. The heaters worked really well. This apartment is on the second floor which came as a surprise. Getting used to all the noises out side took a little time. Totally recommend this place and would be willing to go back again as well.

Good stay in New York affordable hotel and very professional apartment according to the description less than 10 minutes from the subway to manathan the neighborhood is calm and certainly no problems even on late return near foodtown for the races summarized very good stay in New York with a friendly and serviceable population I will keep a pleasant memory of New Yorkers and recommend this apartment to feel at home at night A big thank you to John for his help with the transfer to the airportfatma d.

We were 4 friends visiting New York for a festival and we loved our stay. Mr.brake and is family perfectly received us and was able to answer our questions. We loved the appearance of the apartment that met our needs perfectly.The neighborhood seems good to live we and find everything we need at one coner of the apartment. Grocery store, restaurants, liquor store, everything is close. Moreover, it is located 5min from a metro so we could move easily. If we come back to Brooklyn we will definitely go back to the same apartment.

The owners greeted us promptly and were quick and helpful with the stay. The rental was clean and fully furnished, with extra toiletries and various coffee/ tea provided. Although not huge, the room was quite spacious for two friends and I. The internet was iffy at times, but it didn't really affect the quality of the stay. The walk was easy to the subway which runs straight into Manhattan. Parking was free, on the street, but was at times inconvenient due to the alternate street parking rules. Overall this rental was great, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
