Okay…the pictures on honestly don‘t do justice to the charm and warmth of this beautiful place on earth. The grounds are incredibly gardened and sculpted and the cabin is so warm and comfortable. Totally fully stocked but beyond that it truly represents the love the owners have given to this home. And the constant sound of the creek waterfalls in the back of the property just provide a great soundtrack. Just a wonderful retreat!

Trickledown was a dream place for our first visit to the Highlands. Jane’s taste in decor and attention to detail is incredible. We cook in almost every meal and the kitchen had everything! The location is great as well. Loved it!!

We have enjoyed our multiple times at Trickledown and this time was no exception. The owner does everything possible to make a guest feel at home in this charming cottage in the woods. I can't mention one thing that can be improved...it is perfection.

Beautiful home in the mountains just outside of Highlands, NC. Very nice touches in the home, lovely creek in the back. Owner has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Second time staying at this home and will go back again.

This is one of the finest properties I have ever stayed in. We have been here several times and it's like coming home. Jane does a great job.

The summary here is that this place is special with every detail thought out. I have stayed at hundreds of rentals and never had one that exceeded expectations like this. It should be the standard all rentals should hold themselves to and occupy a special category on the website

This is the third time we have stayed at Trickledown and it keeps getting better. We rent from frequently and this is the best property yet. LOVE IT

This place is an absolute gem and we loved every minute of our stay. Beautiful home, inside and out. Location is great. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Thank you and we hope to be back again.

The home was lovely and Jane was a great host - just as described and as other reviewers have noted. The house has everything you could need and we appreciated it being dog-friendly (dog loved it, too). Can't recommend enough!

Beautiful surroundings in the Highlands area. Two bedroom mountain cottage with tons of charm! Exquisite antique furnishings and attention to detail in stocking the house with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The constant soothing sounds of Big Creek rapids/falls a big plus. Multiple fascinating gardens on the grounds surrounding the house. This was a great place to spend our 40th wedding anniversary! We definitely plan to return!
