PLEASE READ COVID 19 UPDATE:
 
The State of Hawaii is currently requiring everyone who arrives in Hawaii to quarantine for 14 days in their hotel room or vacation rental. This order is currently in effect until 8/31/20. After 9/1/20 visitors can waive the 14 day quarantine if they receive a Negative Covid 19 test result less than 72 hour before their flight. If their results are not back before their flight they will be required to quarantine until they get their negative test results. Book with confidence: Our normal cancellation policy states that you can cancel your reservation for any reason 60 days before your trip and receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 60 days you lose the nightly rent fee and will only be refunded the tax and cleaning fee. But due to the current Covid 19 testing and quarantine requirement in Hawaii we are making the following adjustment to our cancellation policy: If you cannot complete your trip due to someone in your party testing positive for Covid 19 within 14 days of your reservation we will allow you to move your reservation to another open date within 12 months. This includes someone testing positive when they take the test 72 hours before your flight. When you book your reservation we will require a list of all guest’s names. You will be required to show proof of the negative Covid 19 test results to receive a credit towards your new reservation.

For your protection we comply with all Hawaii State Laws regarding vacation rentals including being managed by an on island property management company that is fully licensed by Hawaii. When you book your reservation we will email you their contact information, including their address and local phone number. They can be reached 24 hours a day for emergencies. Our Hawaii Transient Vacation Rental Tax number is TA-097-594-1632-01. Our Hawaii General Excise Tax number is GE-097-594-1632-01. Our TMK number is 390060040039. We are a legal Hawaii Vacation Rental in a designated tourist zone.
 
We have recently refurnished the entire condo and have replaced all the windows with tented, screened windows that open to let in the cool ocean breezes. The VRBO Bear has stayed at our condo and gave us a 5 star review.
 
We have a queen bed in the upstairs master bedroom, a king bed in the down stairs guest bedroom, a queen bed in the living room sleeper sofa and a infant pack away bed in the closet. We are on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a three story building with amazing ocean views. The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor away from the main living area and overlooks the ocean. Cool ocean breezes come through the screened windows and you can hear the waves crashing.
 
This condo is privately owned, it is not a time share. When you rent this condo you are staying in our vacation home, not an investment property. Therefore you will have use of our personal beach stuff, saving you hundreds of dollars not having to rent beach chairs, snorkels, umbrellas, ice chests and boogie boards during your stay.
 
You can instantly book our condo by paying directly to VRBO. A down payment of 35% is due at time of booking, 35% due 90 days before your trip and balance due 60 days before your trip.
 
Kaha Lani means Heavenly Place which describes this beach front resort perfectly. It's like no other resort on Kauai. Surrounded by large grassy areas, this Bali Style Resort is breath taking. It sits behind a beautiful, undeveloped, white sand beach that is only 150 steps away from your front door. You can walk miles along this quiet beach sometimes without seeing another person. This is a perfect place to take pictures of the amazing sunrises. The resort also has a heated pool overlooking the ocean with Tiki Lights that are lit every night at sunset. There are two barbecue grills by the pool, great for cooking your meals outside. There is a tennis court. A beautiful well maintained golf course is right next door, that is reasonable priced. (Wailua Golf Course). A great bike/walking path is directly in front of the resort that leads to Lydgate Beach Park, a great place for kids to play in the protected lagoon an learn how to snorkel. They will also love the awesome playground. You can rent bikes in Kapa'a nearby or have them delivered to the condo. There is a bike rack directly behind our condo.
 
Kaha Lani Resort is centrally located so you are close to all the famous Kauai sights, yet you feel away from everything the moment you drive into the spacious , tropical resort. Positioned between the Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park, the resort is very private. You aren't surrounded by other resorts fighting for a spot on the beach, yet you are a short drive from all the activities. The Wailua River is one mile North of the condo. This is were you can launch off in a kayak to visit Secret Falls or take a river cruise to the Fern Grotto. Right on the shores of the Wailua River sits the Coco Palms Resort that Elvis Presley made famous in the film Blue Hawaii. The hurricane Iniki shut the resort down in 1992, but it is still nice to drive past and imagine what it was like in 1961 when the movie was filmed. The Wailua Waterfall, also shown in the film, is a short drive up the nearby country road. It can be viewed from the road and is a great place to take photos. A few adventurous travelers even hike to the bottom of the falls and swim in the fresh water pool. Opoeka'a Falls is about 3 miles from the condo. You can view it from the road. Depending on the recent rainfall it may have one, two or even three falls coming over the side. The quaint town of Kapa'a is a few miles North of the condo. This is a great place to stroll for hours checking out the many shops and restaurants.
 
Kaha Lani 216 is in building 5, on the second and third floor of a three story building. 980 square feet of private space, including two lanai's (patios). It is a quiet, very bright, end unit. There are only six units in this building. The two units connected by the wall to the right only go up two floors, so your third floor master bedroom doesn't share a wall with another unit, making it very quiet. You can view the ocean from the third floor master bedroom windows, making it a great place to watch the passing whales during winter months. It has a new queen size memory foam bed. A private bathroom is also on the third floor with a large shower.
 
The second bedroom and second bathroom are on the second floor with the rest of the living areas. The second bedroom has a new king size memory foam bed. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo.
 
The living room has a queen size hide away sleeper sofa.
 
There are two lanai's.(patios). One facing the ocean and white sand beach and another facing the mountains. There is plenty of free parking right outside the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals, except groceries which you can purchase at Safeway a few miles North of the condo. There are three flat screen TV's, DVD players, internet and wifi. You can rent DVD's at the RedBox machine inside Safeway. The telephones come with free long distance to the mainland USA, so you can keep in touch with the office and family. It is well stocked with beach items for you to enjoy. Tommy Bahama Backpack Beach Chairs, Boogie Boards, snorkel sets, umbrella, ice chest, beach towels, tennis rackets and balls. Just bring your clothes. There is a laundry facility on the grounds of Kaha Lani that takes credit cards so you can pack lighter and save on airline fees.
 
Like most homes on Kauai, our condo doesn’t have air conditioning. We have replaced all the windows and had them tented to help keep the inside of the condo cool. All the windows open and are screened. This allows the cool ocean breezes off the ocean to flow through the Condo. The East side of the island gets most of the cool trade winds, so it’s the preferred side of the island. We have ceiling fans and portable stand up fans that you can move around the room. This feature sets us apart from other condos at Kaha Lani Resort since most don’t provide portable fans.

Policies & Payments

Cleaning Fee $175
READ: After you book your reservation & make the down payment I will forward it to KVR (Kauai Vacation Rentals), my on island property management company who will email you a confirmation. Once you book your flight & rental car you will need to email or call KVR with that information so they can drop the key to the condo, directions and the resort parking pass off at the rental car desk for you to pick up when you pick up your rental car. You are renting from KVR, not the resort office on the property, so the key needs to be returned to KVR when you check out. It CAN NOT be dropped off at the resort office on the property. KVR will give you their address.
 
The $175 cleaning fee covers the cost of cleaning the condo after your stay so it's ready for the next guest. There is no housekeeping service during your stay. A mid stay cleaning can be purchased for an additional $175. Stays of 21 days or more require a mid stay cleaning at $175 and can't be waived. The resort has credit card operated laundry machines you can use.
 
Check in time is 3pm, check out is 10am. My housekeeper needs 5 hours between guests to get the condo cleaned and the linens washed. We are usually booked back to back. If you need to check out later than 10am or check in prior to 3pm, you will need to book an additional night at the normal nightly rate. This is suggested if you have a late flight off island and want to stay in the condo until you head to the airport.
 
We no longer separate the king size bed in the guest bedroom into two twin beds. There is a queen bed upstairs in the master bedroom, a King bed in the down stairs guest bedroom and a sleeper sofa that makes out to a queen bed. All condos at this resort do not have air conditioning. The windows are screened and open up. We have ceiling fans and portable floor fans that you can move around to cool the condo.
 
Please remove your shoes before entering the condo. The red Kauai dirt stains our light flooring.

This was a wonderful property for our family. Our flight arrived late in the evening yet the entire check-in was very easy.
