Our Backyard Dry Cabin
Welcome to our little cabin by the bay.
Ask for a tour of our spacious art gallery chicken coop or our 30x72 organic high tunnel greenhouse! Build yourself an outdoor warming fire in our rock ringed fire pit. Swing low in our sweet song bird forest tree swing or lounge in our tree tied hammock.
You won't find a fertilized, manicured lawn in our back yard. Our green space is filled with untamed, wild Alaskan plants we utilize and cultivate for food and medicine.
Our dry cabin has a main floor queen bed with a king bed in the low ceiling loft. An iron & board along with dish ware is provided. The kitchenette has a microwave and mini fridge. Electrical appliances provided include an electric skillet, blender, toaster, coffee maker and an electric tea kettle for heating water.
Shared driveway parking can accommodate one car!
There is an outhouse on the property. Our outhouse is not stinky, but it is funky! My dad said, no outhouse in the back yard, so my Mom built it herself! I'll let her tell you the story! It's definitely a "mom" outhouse!
My mom makes delicious organic, gluten free, vegan muffins for your welcome basket along with locally roasted coffee and if you want, fresh out of the coop Pampered Poultry eggs for your make your own breakfast.
Our cabin does not offer hot running water, but our kitchenette is set up with portable drinking water, a small sink and a disposable gray water catchment system. There is an electric tea kettle in order to heat water.
Showers are located in town either at the local pool or the laundromat less than five minutes from our cabin!
Check in is anytime after 4pm, if you would like to check in earlier, please notify me 24hrs before check in. Check out is 11am, and unless previously arranged with me, I will charge a $50 late fee for a late checkout.
Respect for our neighbors is essential; this is not a boisterous party location but a great gathering place and launching spot for responsible groups wanting to explore our beautiful Homer, Alaska and the surround areas of Kachemak Bay. No Smoking. No additional guests. No unauthorized guests.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was decorated very well and very functional. Lots of hooks for hanging things, boot rack, etc Included a microwave, refrigerator, TV, heater. Two beds - 1 in loft above and 1 on the main level. Out house is only a short distance away.

These lovely cabins were very refreshing after the more standard hotel rooms. I was very happy to discover that they now do have hot showers on site. We had two lovely nights and it was a great place to stay at Homer. Thanks
