The Riverhouse on Shut-In Creek is the perfect place for a family vacation. It is a short walk downhill to the crystal clear Frio River. With the house rental you have the right to walk down to the river and get in, to float or sit ,in the water. You can not place your chairs on the bank. You can sit them in the water. If you can manage to keep your things off the bank this might be perfect place for you. In the evening you can sit on the porch or balcony and enjoy a beautiful hill country sunset. As the sun sets the miniature golf course across the street lights up and beckons the amateur golfers young and old. More experienced golfers might enjoy the18 hole professional golf course. The house also has satellite TV. So, if you choose, you can watch the latest flick or an old favorite.
Amenities:
The house is well suited for large groups and will sleep 13. It has three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In the livingroom there is a sofa and a twin bed. The first bedroom has a queensize bed. The middle bedroom has 2 full size beds and 2 twin beds. The third bedroom has two twins. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, and towels. The house has a full kitchen with a dishwasher. The dining room has a table that seats 10. There is also a washer and dryer. A balcony surrounds the back of the house overhanging a dry creek. Covered patio dining can be enjoyed just outside the front door with a step down to an open air deck. The livingroom has satellite TV and a large rock fireplace.
Activities & Area: There is covered parking for two cars. Two additional cars can be parked behind those. Tubing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, and golfing are all just a short walk out the door.
A wealth of activities are yours to explore including swimming, kayaking, tubing, hiking, bird watching, bat viewing, horseback riding, hay rides, and dancing under the stars.
The Riverhouse on Shut-In Creek is about 90 miles west of San Antonio in Concan, Texas on the beautiful Frio River. The house is accessible from River Road and is about 23 miles from Uvalde.

My family and I had a great time relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. It was nice to disconnect from our fast pace day to day life and reconnect with those who mean the most to us, our children and our grandson! The home has a cozy feeling about it. We enjoyed relaxing on both decks. We even saw deer walk by while we drank our morning coffee. This home has plenty of beds to sleep everyone comfortably. We didn’t even use the green room since there were enough beds

The Bakers’ Riverhouse was the perfect spot for our little getaway. Walking distance to the river, shut in creek was all dried up, but the walk to the frio was very brief and Heather provided perfect instructions. We were able to put our tubes into the river at Majors crossing and float back to the house in 2-3 hours which was just enough for us! Loved the porches outside with ample seating, we had some really nice breezes and enjoyed a couple dinners outside! The lighting is a very nice touch outside! Not much yard space but otherwise just right! Kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, etc, compared to most, owners are generous with paper goods and dish soap, multiple fans if you need them, kitchen and laundry areas get a little warm. Although we no longer have little ones running around, there are lots of toys to accommodate toddlers which I think is a nice touch. All in all it was just what we needed and it suited our needs perfectly!
