I recently visited Sapelo and stayed at this house. We had a fantastic time. The house is spacious, clean and well-maintained. Sapelo is quite a treasure. You will feel relaxed and lost in time. Ms. Barbara's Kitchen is a must! Me had several hot, delicious and fresh meals delivered to the door. The food was amazing! Also, be sure to let her husband Chris give you a tour of the island. We will be back next year for sure! I highly recommend it!!

We stayed here with my cousin's family for four nights - four adults and three little kids. It was everything we could have asked for. The house is big, clean, has everything you might need, and is effectively air conditioned (important!). Barbara and Chris took wonderful care of us and were always immediately available anytime we needed anything at all. Chris took us for a tour of the north end of the island, which you're not allowed to explore unless you're authorized by the Georgia DNR, and their cooking is terrific, too - we got two meals from them which were both delicious! (We brought most of our own food and cooking was easy in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen.) Chris and Barbara's kindness was a huge part of what made our trip enjoyable. The owner of the property, Bob, is responsive and easy to deal with, and he'll rent you a truck to get around while you're there, which I recommend unless you travel very light and prefer to rent bikes instead. Sapelo is one of our favorite places on earth and we can't wait to go back - thanks, Chris, Barbara, and Bob, for making this trip easy and fun!
