'Solitude' is a spectacular lakefront home located in a private setting on the south side of Huletts Landing on Lake George. The property includes 250+ feet of lakefront with both shallow and deep water areas. There is a large U-shaped dock for your boat and plenty of room for kayaks and other water sports. Our guests can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and even jumping on the water trampoline. Or, just sit back and take in the amazing views and fresh air! You can watch boats go by from a chaise lounge on our sundeck above the dock or from our hammock, nestled in the trees. Catch the sunset from the cocktail table or screened-in porch on the main deck or down on the bluestone patio by the lake. Then enjoy s'mores by the fire pit at night with the family. The more adventurous can enjoy water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing and other water sports on one of the cleanest lakes in America. There are also many islands on Lake George available for overnight camping and if you enjoy hiking, the trail to the summit of Black Mountain is just up the road.
Built with an Adirondack theme, the home's open floor plan consists of cedar, rustic oak and douglas fir accents throughout for a very warm and cozy feel. The 'wall of glass' in our great room and huge wraparound deck provide sweeping 180+ degree views of the Lake. There is a new state-of-the-art kitchen and outdoor grill for all your cooking needs. The home features 2 master suites with full baths, one bedroom with a walkout roof deck and 2 bunk rooms. There is also a full, finished basement with rustic barn wood throughout that features a full bar, card table, and a lounge area with a plasma TV and a gas fireplace.

An absolutely stunning home with a spectacular view of Lake George and its mountains and islands. It had all the comfort and convenience one could want in a home along with style and beauty. Six wonderful bedrooms, two with spacious private baths. Beautiful detailing throughout. From the boathouse deck, garden swing, firepit area, spacious decks and balcony, special areas throughout inside and out offered memorable experiences for all. Gorgeous great room on main level, and a family room in lower level that provided family fun for all with games -skee ball a favorite- and a rustic bar area that complimented the view perfectly. The open floor plan on main level has a well equipped kitchen that allows those Cooking to still be part of the family conversations, along with a breakfast nook and ample storage. Speakers throughout the main level were a nice feature. The swim platform was a favorite with the younger family members, while senior family members who had mobility issues were still able to enjoy this amazing scenery from the comfort of the decks. The owners were terrific from start to finish, providing helpful suggestions regarding boat rentals as well as features of the house. Would recommend this house to anyone looking to have not just a place to stay but an experience that you will always remember.

Mike met us and showed us around the property and filled us in on different things about the house, etc. He was very gracious with his time. They have a notebook with all the details you could want on things to do in the area, etc. This was very helpful. The house is beautiful and has EVERYTHING you could want. The bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen and eating area easily accommodated our group of 12. It had all the pots and pans you could need. The basement has a nice game table/bar area with a big TV. There is an amazing deck on top of the dock and a floating water trampoline which is a lot of fun. There is a kayak and rowboat. The fire pit is a great thing to make use of at night. We had lots of s'mores at night! There is a glider/swing that makes for a special place to sit and watch the sunset. This was our first trip to the Lake George area and it was everything we thought it would be. You couldn't find a nicer place than Solitude to have a special family vacation.
