The vistas from this dream home defy description. The western evening panorama of rose and purple sunsets against craggy mountains plays nightly from the terrace. In the foreground of this spectacular display is the enchanting town of San Miguel with a perfect view of all the churches and their magnificent domes and steeples. To the north is a fabulous view of the original lake that supplied water to San Miguel and includes the picturesque ruins of a 16th century tannery. Payment by check or credit card accepted (check preferable).
Decorated in the rich colors that are the hallmark of Mexico with lots of fabulous architectural and decorative accents, the home was designed for comfortable and casual living while always retaining an air of colonial luxury. There are four lushly furnished outdoor living areas and the main outdoor area has a wood-burning fireplace, an indoor living room, a formal dining room and a cozy kitchen. The house wraps-around a central patio filled with flowers and the wonderfully soothing sounds of water falling from stone fountains.
The master suite ia a fairy tale room with a king bed as well as his and hers bathrooms. The other three bedrooms are charmingly decorated and have their own baths. The guest room bed sizes are a king and two queens. There is a lap pool surrounded by bougainvillea and Birds of Paradise.
Our outstanding staff of five is friendly and helpful. Sra. Trini, our house manager and marvelous cook, can create dishes ranging from traditional, authentic Mexican, Italian, Chinese, kid friendly, or light healthy. We also have many menus and cook books from which you can choose your own dishes. Sra. Trini will give guests free cooking lessons if they ask (we only ask that you tip her for the lesson). Sra. Andrea keeps the house beautifully clean and is professional and very experienced with your laundry. Sr. Sergio, Sr. Antonio and Sr. Hugo keep the grounds, gardens and pool immaculate. Sr. Sergio is also a wonderful musician and has been known to serenade guests that are interested and can help you with many other requests. Sra. Trini, Sr. Sergio and Sr. Hugo speak some English.
Children are welcome, but we require additional security deposit, $1500 instead of $1000 if no children. No pets please.

Refundable Damage Deposit $1000
Security Deposit: No exceptions to security deposit; refunded within 60 days less any deductions. Normally $1000 no matter the length of stay; If children are in group, the security deposit is $1500, and if any parties are planned, the security deposit is $2000. If pool is heated, cost of gas to heat pool deducted from security deposit. The initial half of the rent payment is nonrefundable. Mexican Tax of 6% additional. If gas is used to heat the pool, cost of gas is deducted from security deposit.

Aside from being a stunning home with artwork everywhere and stunning views - the real gem of this house is the staff. The chef and her assistant are angels in the kitchen. The lap pool is pretty special - and the rooms are spacious, the place is perfect for a family or group of friends. It is a long walk to town -- but scenic all the way. That's if you decide to leave at all - the views from the open air living space offer enough visual treats to fill the day.

We have rented homes in San Miguel a number of times, and this house is easily our favorite. It is a very comfortable Mexican style oriented around beautiful outdoor spaces. The focus is around the west-facing terrace that provides a 30-mile view. The location is high on the hillside in Balcones. The staff is wonderful and helpful, and Trini is a really great cook. Anything you ask, they'll happily take care of. Separate bathrooms in the master suite, US/Canada TV, wifi, very nice workout room, purified water. Check the pictures. Downstairs is another complete outdoor area by the pool, including a bar. Fantastic place to entertain. The entire house is full of beautiful artwork and Mexican folk art. Ten minute downhill walk to the Jardin.

This house has it all. Beautiful accommodations, living room, study, private dining room, gymnasium, swimming pool, and beautiful outdoor entertaining areas. Fabulous collections of art and folk art. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. Yet the house is very close to the center of San Miguel. It is a super house to enjoy San Miguel with friends and family.
