Quiet setting for total relaxation. Access to beautiful bike trail for riding and walking. Kayaks and a canoe for pond and river excursions. Great private beach perfect for dogs to swim and fetch balls. Two shaded water/sunset view decks with an amazingly comfortable zero gravity chair. A wonderful place to get away, play, enjoy dog fun and relax!

We spent a glorious 2 weeks at Waters Edge. The setting is on a quiet section of the lake with beautiful views of the sunsets over the mountains. The cabin was comfortable and stocked with all of the necessities. Unlike many vacation rentals we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations for dogs. Our 1 year old Vizsla had a great time playing with the neighbors dog and running along the bike path which is just steps from the cabin. There is a selection of kayaks to choose from for exploring the lake and the streams around it. We could not have asked for more in a vacation spot.

We had a great time at Water’s Edge. The cabin is ideal for a couple (or three friends if two of you don’t mind sharing a bed). It’s small but has an open floor plan so it feels spacious. The bed and seating are comfortable, the kitchen has nearly everything you’d need to cook at home and the lake-facing windows on the property offer gorgeous views of the pond. We also appreciated the boho-chic style of the place, with cool throw rugs and different kinds of artworks spread throughout the house. The outdoor area is nice—especially the patio outside the kitchen. The cabin is very secluded in the fact that it’s nearly completely surrounded by trees. It sits in a pretty bustling and active lake community, and there’s a great trail just behind the house that folks use for walking and biking. It was nice to have that option on days when you’re feeling a little stir crazy and want to burn some energy. The water is fine for swimming, though you do have to wade through some lake muck to get out to the better swimming areas. The people who run the cabin live just behind the property. They are very nice and accommodating — even being kind enough to let us use their kayaks and floats throughout our stay. The cabin is a close drive to a small grocery, Hastings, that has basics like water, canned foods, etc … But if you need to make a more-serous grocery run, I’d try Price Chopper. It’s an easy 20-minute drive from the cabin.

My husband and I had a wonderful week at your house. What made it extra great was that we could bring our dog (3 year old lab mix). Each morning (noon and evening, too) our dog could go for a swim. There were a wide variety of kayaks to use and a long trail right by the house which was perfect for walks. Mary Ellen was quick to respond to communication and we had a friendly conversation by phone about the house accommodations for dogs. Karen (the owner’s stepdaughter who lives nearby) was extremely friendly. Her grandchildren were visiting towards the end of our week and enjoyed playing in the water with our pup! Great time all around!!
