My daughter was visiting from Delaware with my three grand children, and we wanted a special place to spend some family time. This property was PERFECT!!s! Ten of us had a great time. The family spent a majority of the time swimming, kayaking, paddle boating, and playing with the dog in the water. The house is a dream. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed doing smores and roasting marshmallows. The last evening we enjoyed hot tubing while admiring the gorgeous view. We hope to book this house every summer and make it a family tradition. Thank Chris for sharing your home.

My family and I rented this property for a weekend. It exceeded our expectations. The house is uniquely located right on one of the most beautiful parts of the Russian river. The neighborhood is also very pleasant. We enjoyed the river a lot, swimming and using the house kayaks. The house itself is beautiful too, it has a feel of a tree house being built between huge trees, it is well equipped, nice kitchen and dining place and living room with huge windows to the river. The owner was responsive and helpful.

Thank you for your hospitality, Chris. The Dragon's Lair was absolutely perfect for our needs. Kid-friendly; fully stocked kitchen for those who enjoy cooking; great views of the river with somehat easy access to the dock; comfortable beds...could not have asked for more. We'll definitely be back!

Nice home in the redwoods

This property was surprisingly sneaky big, the extra rooms down stairs made for a comfortable stay. Great view to wake up to.

Beautiful happy home! Blue Heron, Finch, Hummingbirds, Ducks, Fish, kayaks, canoes, redwoods, crouching black cats and hidden dragons. You will love this place. Needs more propane, firewood. Thank you for sharing your home, I hope we were good guests. Be excellent to each other!

We rented this property in early November, on a quiet, beautiful Fall weekend. The giant picture windows look out on the river, and it felt like watching the discovery channel. A high point was watching a river otter catch a fish a third his size. The property is well located close to Jenner and hiking on the spectacular coastline, as well as Guerneville and Armstrong Redwoods. Osmosis Japanese spa and garden is 20 minutes away. You really can't go wrong heading out in any direction for exploration. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and the common spaces both beautiful and functional. Plenty of sleeping rooms but be aware the downstairs sleeping area is accessed through a separate entrance and requires going outside. Also not a full bath down there. But this was not a problem, and in the summer might even be an advantage as it has a separate deck and is closer to the river dock and swimming and boating action. There is a hot tub as well. The owner was very communicative and helpful as we were figuring out if it was safe to come after the Sonoma fire in late October. In the end it all worked out perfectly and we spent a great three days in a beautiful location. Would definitely return if occasion presented itself. The property is very well cared for.

I mean the place is great. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us, and it was very cozy at the same time. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and then some, plenty of bedding, plenty of firewood for the cold wet days we were there. The management was attentive to the property as well. Id recommend Drains Lair, and would go back.

A sweet place to enjoy life! Wintertime vacationing was great for my family of seven adults. Lots of room for people to get some good R&R. Very beautiful with many nice features. Great place to also get some hikes, walks in the woods, ocean fun and river fun. This is Truly a great place to enjoy your family and vacation time!

I was already excited for this booking, but the property even exceeded my expectations! There was plenty of room for my group of 10 to sleep, eat, and play games. The location was cozy and private while being very close to the coast, town, wine tasting, and other amenities. Our group cooked for all meals, so the well-appointed kitchen really suited us. There is a wide variety of board games to play for your group to unwind together, and the large living room windows offer plenty of natural light, even on cloudy days, for reading on the couches. The hot tub overlooking the river was enjoyed by all, with a few folks even jumping in first thing in the morning with their pre-breakfast cup of coffee. Thank you so much, Chris, for opening up your home to us!
